Thank you for your interest in saving FREE over-the-air television stations. Congress recently granted the FCC authorization to repack and auction our independently operated broadcast TV licenses for the benefit of the wireless monopolies. Many low power TV stations (LPTV) and translator TV stations will be repacked and taken without compensation by the federal government. If protection is not mandated, this will amount to a confiscation and redistribution of our licenses from independent LPTV operators for the benefit of the biggest companies in America. The government should not be permitted to confiscate spectrum from low power television station operators without compensation. If full protection is not granted, hundreds, perhaps thousands of low power television stations will go off the air.

I’m a Businessman
I am writing with respect to the community low power television stations that broadcast to (INSERT YOUR CITY). I have come to understand that the FCC may auction spectrum currently licensed to operating LPTV stations in our area. Please do not force any LPTV broadcasters off the air. Our local LPTV station must be protected. As a business person, I (FILL IN THE BLANK WITH WHAT YOU DO FOR A LIVING). I appreciate the broadcast services of our local LPTV station. I would ask that you do not reduce the affordable services that are currently available to our community through our local independent LPTV station. (ADD ADDITIONAL NOTE IF DESIRED. BE RESPECTFUL AND CONCISE). Low-power TV stations that have operated in good faith and have complied with their license should be protected and kept on the air.
I’m a Church Attendee
As a dedicated Christian living in (INSERT YOUR CITY), I am concerned about the future of the many Christian low power television broadcast stations positively influencing our nation and our hometown. Our local LPTV station must be protected. As a Christian, I am concerned that any loss of LPTV service will mean a reduction in the availability of broadcast content that brings hope and positive values to our daily life. I believe the Christian message is important because (INSERT YOUR WHY?). Most often, the cable and network television channels fail to represent my Christian values in their content. We want the future of Christian TV broadcasting to be protected because (INSERT YOUR WHY. BE RESPECTFUL AND CONCISE). Please do not permit Christian voices to be silenced through the loss of LPTV stations as a result of the planned auction or repack. Low-power TV stations that have operated in good faith and have complied with their license should be protected and kept on the air.
I Bought a Digital TV Set
My name is (INSERT YOUR NAME). The FCC forced me to purchase a new television set based on the promise of more free over-the-air channels. Do not shut down my local LPTV station. I want more free channels, not less. (PLEASE ADD ANY ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS. BE RESPECTFUL AND CONCISE). Low-power TV stations that have operated in good faith and have complied with their license should be protected and kept on the air.
I’m a Television Viewer
My name is (INSERT YOUR NAME). I appreciate the opportunity to watch free over-the-air television made available through low power television stations. I have come to understand that the FCC may make spectrum available to be auctioned, and some LPTV broadcasters may be forced off the air. The FCC must protect our local LPTV station. There are programs that my family and I enjoy that are unavailable through other sources. Free TV is safe TV. Many Cable programs are not safe for my family to watch. Some shows we enjoy are only available to us over-the-air through my local LPTV station. I should not be forced to pay for cable, satellite or fiber to watch TV. There are now many free TV stations available with a simple antenna. Please do not take any of those free stations away. (PLEASE ADD A PERSONAL NOTE WHY YOU THINK FREE TV IS IMPORTANT TO YOU.) Low-power TV stations that have operated in good faith and have complied with their license should be protected and kept on the air.
I buy local airtime
My name is (INSERT YOUR NAME) and I am with (INSERT THE GROUP YOU ARE WITH). As a citizen involved in my community, I appreciate the opportunities that our local low power television station offers. The loss of any one of our LPTV stations would result in the silencing of our local citizens. Simple economics of supply and demand indicate it would be unfair to our local community because the cost of advertising will increase, the availability of free or inexpensive airtime time will decrease, and we will cease to be local. The loss of LPTV stations will penalize small local businesses and program producers who enjoy the service of local LPTV stations. Protect LPTV. (PLEASE ADD ANY ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS. BE RESPECTFUL AND CONCISE). Low-power TV stations that have operated in good faith and have complied with their license should be protected and kept on the air.
I’m a Broadcaster
I have invested to construct and I am operating a legally licensed Low Power TV station in (INSERT YOUR MARKET). I am serving the public and providing free over-the-air television to my community. It has come to my attention that the FCC is intending to conduct a spectrum auction to facilitate the expansion of wireless and unlicensed spectrum users. Please do not force the shutdown of my licensed broadcast station for the benefit of unlicensed users. And please do not take my licensed LPTV broadcast station to benefit my competitors in the wireless industry. I am a licensed broadcaster and I have the legitimate expectation of the continued renewal of my license as long as I continue to fulfill the requirements of my license. To take my business away for the benefit of another business is wrong. Low-power TV stations that have operated in good faith and have complied with their license should be protected and kept on the air.
